The following is the news headlines as reported in the German "Rheinische Landeszeitung" newspaper November 1940........

1st November 1940. Advances into a part of Europe which has difficult roads- Italians in Greece. Centers of English industry again heavily hit.

2nd November 1940. Luftwaffe again over England- RAF airfields destroyed and a transport ship sunk by direct hits.

3rd November 1940. 17 ships sunk by the Luftwaffe. British positions on Crete bombarded by the Italian navy.

4th November 1940. Revenge attacks against England, in the worst weather.

5th November 1940. England are fighting for their lives in the Mediterranean- Against the Italians.

6th November 1940. Due to the tonnage of ships sunk, England has to dig deep into her store of reserves.

7th November 1940. The tonnage so far sunk goes up to 7 million tons!

8th November 1940. Stuka attack on the mouth of the Thames, 7 Merchant ships sunk or damaged. Heavy hits scored on a Cruiser.

9th November 1940. The Führer meets with his old guard in Munich.

27th November 1940. Bristol still burns and a U-boat sinks a further 41000 tons.

28th November 1940. Dr Ley: Germany will get a new social order after the victory.

29th November 1940. U-boats are as dangerous now, as they were in March 1917.

30th November 1940. Bombs rain down on Liverpool. Destroyer action in the English Channel.
