The "German Home front 1933-1945" website has been incorporated into Bills-Bunker, however, it will continue to be Beate´s  own research sub-section within the overall website.

...Dear Reader,

The German Home Front is a website dedicated to the German everyday people from 1933 to 1945, whether serving or suffering under the swastika. It is a historical website not supporting racism, intolerance, nor extreme views. This website does not seek to glorify the Second World War or extreme political ideology.

Historical information from primary sources such as original books and magazines, audio and film material, provide the foundation for this website.

Secondary sources like reference books or documentaries by recognised historians are used for further studies, as is experimental archaeology, commonly known as living history or re-enactment.

This website can only present a summary of the daily life in the Third Reich, it does not claim to give you the full historical context or an indepth analysis of the social and political structure of Germany at the time - the background is far too complex.

I invite you to read

The German Home Front 1933 - 1945

A DIARY WITH A DIFFERENCE

Yours sincerely,
Beate Medland
