Maria´s photographs are not only beautiful, but tell of her love to Willi in Germany between 1943 and 1944. She begs Willi never to forget her. She mis-spells the words on the back of the photographs, but writes as she would have pronounced the words, in a Ukrainian dialect.

The story of Maria and Willi will never be known, sadly many such stories have been lost in the sands of time. We were lucky to rescue these photos, many simply get thrown any, history lost....how sad.
